SUMMARY
Manages the company’s IT infrastructure and ensure that all systems are running optimally.
This role involves designing and implementing efficient and secure network systems, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing IT infrastructure.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of network infrastructure, excellent problem-solving skills and be able to manage projects to improve IT systems.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, set up, and manage company-wide IT infrastructure via AWS.
• Monitor network performance and integrity
• Ensure all IT systems and applications are running optimally
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT infrastructure issues
• Implement security measures and basic testing in line with FEDRAMP, FIPS, PCI and SOC2 guidelines.
• Oversee data backup and system security operations (e.g. user authorization, firewalls)
• Develop and implement disaster recovery plans
• Coordinate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
• Keep up to date with current and emerging technologies and trends in IT infrastructure
• Participates in annual infrastructure, PCI and SOC2 audits, providing required evidence as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Experience
• Proven experience as an IT Infrastructure Specialist or similar role
• Experience with system installation, configuration and analysis
• Thorough knowledge of networks, network administration, and network installation
• Experience with cloud technologies and services
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• BSc/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline
• Professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) or CSSP is a plus
